The IJLS Web portal enables registered users to enroll in CPD, induction, diplôme universitaire, workshops, and short courses. Users can also view details of courses, attendance details, and CPD hours earned.
The IJLS is also launching a mobile app to facilitate course enrollment, recording attendance, receiving instant notifications, processing payments, and viewing accumulated CPD hours more easily.
The Mobile App can be downloaded from Play Store, App Store, and Huawei Store.
Users must register on the website/mobile app using their MauPass account to access the facilities offered by IJLS. The MauPass account can be created at https://maupass.govmu.org.
Users can enroll in CPD courses after logging in through MauPass on the IJLS Web Portal or Mobile App, as long as the maximum seat capacity has not been reached.
If the seat capacity has already been reached, the text “fully booked” will be displayed. However, users can still join the waiting list. The system will automatically allocate a seat on a first-come, first-served basis once one becomes available. A notification will be sent at least 2 hours before the course starts.
Users can cancel a course prior to its start. If cancellation is done at least 2 hours before the course, the seat will be reallocated to a person on the waiting list.
Users can clock in and out by scanning a QR code displayed either on the attendance machine at IJLS or during an online session.
Note: Clocking in and out is mandatory for CPD hour calculation. If either is missed, no CPD hours will be awarded.
Law practitioners will see the following course statuses:
• Scheduled – Enrolled and course not yet started
• Course Started – Course has started, learner has not yet joined
• In Attendance – Learner has clocked in
• Course Ended – Learner has clocked out
• Not Attended – Enrolled but did not clock in
• Cancelled by Me – Cancelled by user
• Cancelled – Cancelled by IJLS
• Postponed – Postponed by IJLS
CPD hours are computed automatically from clock-in and clock-out times. Users must complete 12 CPD hours to receive a certificate. CPD status can be viewed on the Web Portal (Workspace) or in the Mobile App (CPD tab).
Attendance records for all courses can be viewed in both the Web Portal and the Mobile App.
At the end of the CPD year, IJLS will generate certificates. Users who complete 12 CPD hours and at least one ethics course will be able to download their certificate from the Web Portal or Mobile App.
Users who complete 12 hours earlier can request an ad hoc certificate.
Certificates include a digital signature and QR code for authenticity. Scan the QR code or open the PDF in Adobe Reader to verify the signature.
